Some of our visitors are after retrofitting the current parking lot light fixtures they have. They find our site by typing in “LED Parking Lot Light Retrofit.” Although it might seem like a cheaper option to retrofit, this is not the case. In our opinion it is not only more cost effective to buy a parking lot light fixture that is designed from the ground up to utilize LED lighting but, it is also smarter as the manufacturers will provide stronger warranties for the complete units and will replace them no questions asked. In the case of a retrofitted unit warranty and labor costs will create too much of a headache. If you are looking to retrofit we strongly suggest you consider new units. Also please consider that LED as an area lighting fixture requires heat sinks as the heat build up in these fixtures will cause premature failure. That is why you will see on our fixtures the fins built in to the aluminum casting fixture body.
